Mission

2012's Vision for the JFF

At the James Farrior Foundation, we live by the phrase "Tackling Everyday Life".

As the Foundation enters its fourth year of existence, James and Matt are taking bold steps to both refine it's focus and broaden it's overall impact. Part of this process has been to reset the overall goals and directly focus upon under-served and at-risk children.

In addition, we are busy creating new programs designed to guide these youth towards reaching their fullest potentials and making meaningful contributions to their communities.

As James recently indicated, "If it doesn't benefit the children, then we shouldn't be doing it!"

To reach our new goals, the Foundation will be enhancing existing activities and introducing new programs to benefit the children:

  • Encouraging fresh, healthy attitudes
  • Direct assistance with developing interpersonal skills
  • Dedicated resources to improve Health, Character development & Readiness skills

We are very excited about these new initiatives and look forward to sharing our progress with you.

As such, the Foundation is pleased to announce two new programs for the 2011 season: "Tackling Education" and "Tackling Health".

Tacking Education: an after-school program providing individual tutoring services, career counseling and cultural development.

Tackling Health: Starting as a pilot with two elementary schools, this program targets childhood obesity and encourages children to develop healthy nutritional habits.

In addition, we are planning Golf and Softball camps, which have been generously sponsored by the Hunting Hawk Golf facility, Bass Gloves and the Richmond Flying Squirrels.

Thanks to our strategic partners and corporate sponsors, we anticipate our best year ever. Please watch this page for updates on our progress!
